Life Skills and Community Outreach Training
Community is the backbone of our organization
Counselors and therapists at FSA are passionate about engaging with the community by providing speakers and training for area businesses, churches, law enforcement agencies, schools, and other organizations. We are uniquely qualified to interact with everyone in our local community in a professional manner that’s grounded in experience and education.
FSA believes in partnering together for a brighter future
We work with over 20 community partners in the Wabash Valley to provide care and counseling to their populations. Interagency transparency and communication are a big part of what we do and how we are able to reach the people who most need our help.
Counseling and prevention services are provided in areas such as the juvenile detention center, the Vigo County Jail, area schools, and in the CODA shelter. Individuals are served from Vigo, Parke, Vermillion, Sullivan and Clay counties in Indiana and Clark and Crawford counties in Illinois.

We offer assistance and community outreach related to the following topics:
- Anger management
- Domestic violence and healthy relationships
- Stress management
- Parenting education classes (a 7-week course on the ages and stages of children)
- Coping with grief and loss
- Alcohol and other substance use and addiction
- Depression and anxiety
- Career preparation
