Co-Parenting 101
Parenting Through Divorce
Parenting is one of the most difficult, but most rewarding jobs, unfortunately, there is no universal training book. So, when you are facing the end of a marriage or partnership, effectively parenting your child or children can become difficult. Big emotions are felt by both parents and children. Anxiety and stress that was never there before suddenly appears and all of these things make positive relationship building and parenting hard.
Working Together to Tackle Big Change
Co-parenting classes, offered by the FSA Counseling Center, are meant to bridge that developmental gap when separation happens. Also known as trans-parenting, this 3-hour seminar focuses on helping parents and children effectively handle the issues that arise out of the divorce process. We offer this seminar two times each month and it is facilitated by our counseling staff.
Knowledge is Power
The information provided in the classes is a result of over 20 years of experience and research working with adults and children facing the challenges of family change caused by divorce or separation. When you attend a session, you will be guided through the process of looking at these issues through the eyes of children. It is from this new perspective where lasting, positive growth will be achieved.
This class is offered not only to all court systems in the Wabash Valley, but to any parents who would like to work on their co-parenting skills.
